She's Crafty

I spent some time last night talking about ReadyMade magazine. For those of you not “in the know”, ReadyMade is kind of a kitschy do-it-yourselfer’s magazine with some pretty cool projects and profiles of artists you wouldn’t normally happen upon.
They also have some great eco-friendly projects and recently profiled the guy who started
TerraCycle.
Anyway, after I got home from this session, I was all wound up thinking about what projects that would be cool to see and/or do.
We have another month before school starts back up (I’m SO counting the days) so I need to find a couple of kid-friendly projects.

In the meantime, I want to refinish/repurpose this piece of furniture. So put on your thinking caps and give me some ideas....

Aprons, How I Love Thee...

circus

I LOVE aprons! Have I mentioned that before? I dare say I haven’t...how sad.

So I recently discovered this AMAZING blog - The Apronista. And she is GIVING AWAY an apron! Every self-respecting cook needs at least one good apron. I, myself, have many...and one of these days I’m going to wear them out of the house.

Go here to enter the apron giveaway and tie one on with me!

New Project

RSRTpeachtopS

I decided I want one of these tops...
I discovered the Sew, Mama, Sew blog and have been adding project after project to my list. But with the flowers popping and sun shining, I decided to move this cute little number to the top of my list.

Want to make one too? Go here for the awesome tutorial on how to make your own Spring Ruffle Top.
When you’re done, share a picture!
